“Building A Global Youth Literature Collection 101” is a project funded by a Carnegie-Whitney grant from the American Library Association that was launched by the Global Literature in Libraries Initiative and is aimed at American librarians.

The mission of the project is to provide book lists of contemporary international youth literature in translation and information about organizations related to international youth literature to librarians seeking to expand their collections. The website is forthcoming in April. I designed and coded a custom WordPress theme incorporating feedback from the team behind the project and their advisory board along the way.

Silent Owl Vineyards & Winery is a family project. The wine is made from grapes from two vineyards in Washington’s Columbia Valley. I designed the winery’s label and website and photographed steps in the wine production process.

While completing Superhi’s WordPress course which featured three projects I redesigned and coded new versions. Using the Underscores theme designed by Automattic as a starting point the projects included a one-page responsive website with multi-language support, a blog styled with rearrangeable content using advanced custom fields, and a WooCommerce-based online store. Medium format is my version of the second project and showcases lomography cameras and lomographers around the world.

Burnout is a psycho-educational site I made and presented to trainee therapists and coworkers in a community healthcare clinic as part of their training program while taking a visual design and branding course.

The site is geared towards a healthcare perspective and is a psycho-educational overview of the history and differences between four different forms of burnout alongside quotes from Trauma Stewardship: An Everyday Guide to Caring for Self while Caring for Others by Laura van Dernoot Lipsky.
